“World Antimicrobial Awareness Week” was observed at Rajshahi University on Tuesday aims to increase awareness of global antimicrobial resistance and to encourage best practices among the general people, health workers, farmers, animal health professionals and policy makers to avoid the further emergence and spread of drug-resistant infections.
The theme of the year’s World Antimicrobial Awareness Week is-- “Spread awareness, stop resistance.”
Marking the day, RU Pharmacy department brought out a colorful rally from Dr M Wazed Ali Miah academic building around 11 am. The rally paraded main streets of the campus.
Later, a discussion programme was also arranged where Pharmacy department head professor Dr Md Aziz Abdur Rahman and adviser of Pharmacy association professor Dr Shahnaj Parvin spoke.
Besides, hundred students, teachers, officials were also present, on the occasion, among others.
