Workshop on workplace stress management held at SUST

The School of Social Science of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) organized a workshop with female teachers on mental health, workplace stress management and encouraged students to engage in positive activities.

 This workshop was placed in the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) conference room in the university at eleven o'clock on Monday. Vice-Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed spoke as the chief guest of this workshop. The event was presided over by the Dean of the School of Social Science, professor Dilara Rahman & conducted by the head of the department of Bengali Farzana Siddika and the head of the Department of Sociology Tanzina Chowdhury.

The Vice-Chancellor said that it is important to improve the mental health of teachers and students to maintain the quality of education. A mentally and physically healthy person can contribute efficiently in the workplace. Counseling psychologists have already been appointed at this university to improve the mental health of all. 

Also, female and male student advisors have been appointed for the students in each department.

Treasurer of the University, professor Anwarul Islam & Director of Student Council and Guidance (DSCG) Professor Amina Parveen spoke as a special guest at the event. Professor Dr Zayda Sharmin gave a welcome speech at the opening ceremony. A counseling Psychologist of the University named Fajilatunnessa Shapla presented papers at the workshop.
