In order to prevent power accidents and ensure uninterrupted power supply to the customer, DPDC has undertaken the task of laying underground cable network on the poles of the overhead line and under the ground. Work has already started to install underground power cable network in some areas of the capital.
A meeting was held between DPDC Managing Director Engineer Bikash Dewan and City Mayor Dr Selina Hayat Ivy at the Narayanganj City Corporation Conference Room on Thursday to discuss the DPDC's action plan to provide more improved power services in the Narayanganj City Corporation area.
On behalf of DPDC, the situation of DPDC's power system in Narayanganj area, future plans and especially the technical and overall development of construction of underground power distribution lines were discussed and the cooperation of the Mayor was sought for the development of power infrastructure in Narayanganj.
At the special meeting, mayor Selina Hayat Ivy in her speech praised the DPDC for providing uninterrupted power supply by commenting on the excellent power supply situation in Narayanganj.
She assured that Narayanganj City Corporation would always cooperate in setting up underground power distribution lines and construction of all types of power infrastructure in Narayanganj in future.
