‘Women empowerment escalates in Al’s tenure’

Jubo Mohila League staff meeting and formation of committee has been held in Bandarban.

The meeting was organized by the Women's Awami League in the conference room of Bangabandhu Library in Bandarban on Friday morning. Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts affairsBir Bahadur Ushwe Sing inaugurated the programme as the chief guest. President of Bangladesh Mohila Awami League Bandarban, Johora Chowdhury presided the meeting.

At the beginning of the programme, the national anthem was sung after hoisting the flag. Later, the chief guest inaugurated the program by flying balloons in the sky.

Meanwhile, Bandarban District Awami League Joint General Secretary Lakshmipada Das, Kasapru, District Juba League Convener Kelu Mong, Juba Mahila League President Nazma Akter, Juba Mahila League Joint General Secretary Advocate Sahnaz Parveen Dolly, Information and Research Secretary Tania Haque Shobha And the media workers including the leaders of Bandarban District Women's Awami League and its affiliated organizations were present. The chief guest Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing said that the empowerment of women during the tenure of the present government is very promising. Empowerment of people is possible through empowerment of women. The present government is working for the development of women and if women are developed, the overall development of the country will be accelerated. 

Meanwhile, the organizers said that for the first time in Bandarban, a committee of the Youth Women's League is going to be formed under the central direction and if this committee is formed, the development work of the area will be  expedited through the Youth Women's League.
