A farewell ceremony, annual milad and prayer mahfil of SSC candidates of Patgudam Girls High School in Mymensingh city was held on Wednesday at noon.
Speaking as the chief guest under the chairmanship of Prof Golam Ferdous Zillur, President of Patgudam Girls High School Managing Committee, the popular mayor of Mymensingh City Corporation M. Ikramul Haque Titu said that women of the country are ahead in education and results with various cooperation of the government. Mymensingh Metropolitan Awami League Vice President Shahjahan Parvez addressed the function as a special guest. Mohammad Ali, Headmaster of Patgudam Girls High School gave a welcome speech at the beginning of the program. School teacher Sanjida Rahman presented on the occasion. The certificate was read by Nausin Tabassum Romki. Jonaki expressed his feelings among the departing students.
Assistant teacher Maulana Md. Sharaf Uddin conducted the prayer mahfil. Ward 17 Councilor Habibur Rahman Hobi, former Councilor Jamal Hossain Rose, Awami League leader Abdul Mannan, 16th Ward Awami League President Alhaj Khalilur Rahman, General Secretary Dulal Uddin Dulal, Abdur Rashid and other leaders were present at the time.
