Nargis Rahman, MP from the reserved women seat of Gopalganj, distributed food items among 300 home stuck, helpless and poor families under the government directive in the district on Thursday morning considering the situation of corona spread across the country.
At the Bhatiapara railway ground in Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj, maintaining social distance she distributed food items including 5 kg rice, 2 kg potatoes, 1 kg pulses, 1 kg onion, 1 litre cooking oil and a Soap for each family at the time.
Local Awami League leaders including Mashiur Rahman Khan, chairman of Kashiani Sadar Union, were present at the time. Nargis Rahman, MP, called upon the solvent people of the society to come forward to help the poor people in the present crisis situation. She also called upon all to maintain health warnings.
