A woman was killed in a train accident at Ghonimoheshpur village under Ruhia upazila in Thakurgaon sadar upazila on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Jaheda Begum, 55, wife of Poshir Uddin of the village.
Officer-in-Charge of Ruhia Police Station Chitta Ranjan Roy confirmed the matter. According to the OC and the locals, high speedy train of Dhaka-bound Drutojan Express hit the woman on the rail track in the morning, leaving her injured. Locals rescued her and sent to the hospital. He succumbed to her injuries on the way to the hospital.
