A housewife identied as Sukuru Nesa (55) died in a tragic accident. She died being caught in a rice mill belt. The accident took place at Mistripara of Andulbaria village in Jibannagar upazila of Chuadanga around 6:30 am on Wednesday. According to witnesses and police sources, the wife of deceased Abdul Majeed of Uttarpara of Kashipur village of KDK union of Jibannagar upazila went to Jahan Ali's Rice Mill in Andulbaria Mistripara to get mashed dal kumrar bori. At around 6:30 am, the work of grinding her items began. At that time, she curiously went to see how machine is working. Due to carelessness, her saree got entangled in the ribbons of the moving rice mill belt and she died on the spot.
Jibannagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) SM Javeed Hasan confirmed the matter and said that the police were sent to the spot after receiving the information. Necessary action will be taken after investigation.
