Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested a woman along with hemp at Mongla upazila in Bagerhat district early Saturday.
The arrested was Fatima Khatun, 30, a resident of Kapalirmoth village in the upazila. Acting on a tip-off, a team of the DB conducted a drive in the Kapalirmoth area and arrested Fatima from her house along with 15 kilograms hemp, said Swapan Kumar Roy, inspector of district unit the DB.
She was later handed over to the Mongla Police Station after a case was filed against her, the DB official added.
