Hundreds of people including the working journalists formed a human chain at Moheshpur upazila in Jhenaidah on Saturday protesting filing of false case against president of Moheshpur Press Club Abdur Rahman. The human chain was formed at in front of Fatepur Madrashah.
Press Club’s general secretary Abdus Selim, treasurer Jahidul slam, member Saiful Islam, news victim Fatema Katun and UP member Asadul Islam among others spoke.
The speakers said that journalist Abdur Rahman was targeted for harassment when he made story against the drug peddlers and terrorists at Fatepur village. They demanded immediate withdrawal of the case.
