A discussion meeting was held with the Chattogram District PP Sheikh Iftekhar Saimul Chowdhury in chair on the occasion of the inauguration of week-long tree plantation program by the initiative of Chattogram District Public Prosecutor.
Chattogram Senior District and Sessions Judge Dr. Aziz Ahmed Bhuiyan was present as chief guest in the meeting, Chief Judicial Magistrate Begum Kamrun Nahar Rumi and Chattogram Divisional Forest Officer SM Kaiser, General Secretary of Chattogram District Bar Association Bajlur Rashid Mintu were present as special guests.
Addressing the chief guest at the meeting, District and Sessions Judge Aziz Ahmed Bhuiyan said, since the beginning of creation, humans have been playing a major role in the welfare of all animals and mankind. The presence of trees in the preparation of natural medicine and scientifically modern medicine is about 60 percent herbs and medicinal plants were used as the main ingredients of Hekemi treatment in financial treatment and use. A few miscreants have taken up the festival of killing trees for the greed of money, they are enemies of the country and the nation, legal and social resistance should be built against them, criminals cannot be exempted under any circumstances, these tree-cutters should be brought under the law and punished according to law, from the hands of tree-cutters. Advised all concerned law enforcement agencies to be strict to protect the tree.
Speaking as a special guest, Chief Judicial Magistrate Begum Kamrun Nahar Rumi said, Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called for creating a green environment by planting fruit trees and medicinal trees all over the country.
This tree fulfills the needs of human body by providing oxygen, this tree is our life. Therefore, tree plantation activities should be carried forward collectively and this should be socialised.
Special guest Chattogram North Region Divisional Forest Officer SM Kaiser said, without the help of the people to protect the forest and trees, it is not possible for us alone, a class of people are engaged in the evil attempt to establish settlements by clearing the forest, urging all quarters to be aware against them. is
In the president's speech, District PP Advocate Sheikh Iftekhar Saimul Chowdhury said, after fulfilling our state-assigned judicial duties, we have undertaken the tree planting program as a social responsibility, we think that we can implement the call of Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina by taking forward the tree planting program. If every citizen plants 2 trees, the face of the country will change after a few years, the country will be green.
