Entrepreneurial Economists club of the Dhaka School of Economics arranged an International Webinar on Role of Econometrics in Business Analytics on Wednesday.
In the programme speakers said that econometrics can help us taking decisions making process. During COVID-19,the use of business analytical helps to take proper decision through business analysis ,problem solving technique and future direction where business goal can be understood through use of Econometric application. Econometrics is a tool not only economics but also in marketing, finance, management, ARIMA type modeling etc. all areas to understand the scenario to get right solution as experts said. Business world is getting benefit from the econometrics especially not only forecasting but also solutions.
Prof. Dr. Dipti Ranjan Mohapatra, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, India, argued that Econometrics helps the business goal of the analysis which Select an analysis methodology to get business data to support the analysis, Cleanse and integrate data into single repository.
He also argued that Supports tactical decision-making Iterates until the business goal is met and Works in real -time decisions especially in the pandemic situations and use of econometrics model helps cause and effect areas.
Time dimension is important in the business analytics as pointed out by Professor Mohapatra.

Business analysts help to maximize a business's effectiveness through data-driven decisions as Prof. Ali said.
