Bangladesh registered an emphatic 8-wicket win against New Zealand for the first time away from home. Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed believes it was a great success for the side and said they gave their best to achieve the result.

Tiger pacers showed great consistency with the ball throughout the first Test. Ebadot Hossain and Taskin Ahmed shared nine wickets together in their second innings to script the history for the Tigers.

"Incredible. It is a great achievement for us. Our first win out of Asia. We didn't think about the result. We stuck to the process. We gave our 110 percent,” said Taskin.

Bangladesh had previously failed to win any of 32 matches played in New Zealand across all formats, including nine Tests.

Taskin was delighted to have the support and finally win a match against the last year WTC champions.

“It is lovely to have this support. Normally in New Zealand, we have played a lot of games. This is our first win," he added.
