Under the Local Government Covid-19 Response and Recovery Project (LGCRRP) project, the Mid-term Review Mission of the World Bank (WB) has inspected various ongoing schemes in Gopalganj Municipal area.
On Wednesday, a team of World Bank, Khulna Region and LGED officials visited various ongoing and completed projects implemented by Gopalganj Municipality.
World Bank Urban Development Specialist and Task Team Leader (TTL) Mansha Chen, Consultants Mick Winter, Huraira Jabin, SM Hafiz Al Mamun, Programme Associate Jinia Sultana and Coordinator and Project Director of LGED LGCRRP Nazmus Sadat Md Zillur Rahman, Gopalganj Municipal Mayor Sheikh Rakib Hossain, Municipal Council Executive Officer Md Rakibul Islam, Executive Engineer Mehdi Hasan, Mayor's Assistant Nadu Gopal Sarkar, media workers working in various print and electronic media in the district, were present.
Earlier, when the delegation arrived at Gopalganj Municipality, Gopalganj Mayor Sheikh Rakib Hossain welcomed them with flowers.
Later, a view exchange meet was held in the conference room of the municipality, the visiting representatives from the World Bank and Project Director inspected various development work and expressed their satisfaction.
Meanwhile, Mayor Sheikh Rakib Hossain specially requested the concerned to emphasize that the future master plans should be implemented quickly in order to beautify Gopalganj municipality.
