Madaripur's Al-Jabir High School has been facing waterlogging in the school grounds whenever it rains even only a little. The school is facing this issue as there is no drainage facility due to its low elevation. Teachers and students are suffering, teaching is being disrupted due to that. Students are in trouble as they cannot play in school grounds. Such waterlogging has occurred in Al-Jabir High School ground of Panichhatra area of Ward No. 5 of Madaripur Municipality. The school does not have enough buildings. Teaching has been going on for a long time in tin-roofed rooms. If it rains a little, the students have to suffer from that.

According to school sources, the school was established in 1981. Al-Jabir High School has two tin built houses and two small buildings which are not enough to accommodate students. At present the number of students in the high school is about five hundred and there are 17 teachers. The students of this school score well in the board exams every year.

They are also not behind in sports. Going to the ground, it was seen that there is knee-deep water in the school grounds. In this, students have to wade water to go to the school room.

Someone slips again and falls into the wet water. Their suffering is increasing in going to school through the water.

The smell of rotting grass and weeds in the field has been created. As a result, the adverse environment of the waterlogged field is causing disruption in the teaching of the students.

The students of the school said that regular sports and daily gatherings could not be held due to waterlogging in the field. If it rains a little, there is a problem in coming and going to the classroom. Many times the body starts to cry, it disrupts the class. The head teacher of the school.

Sahabuddin said that due to the lack of a proper drainage system, when there is a little rain, waterlogging occurs in the field and the water in the field rises and enters the classroom.

As a result, teachers and students suffer. Soil filling has become a special need to eliminate field waterlogging. Waterlogging also reduces student attendance. It is also disrupting teaching.

Madaripur District Education Officer. Habib Ullah Khan said, I have not yet received any application regarding Al-Jabir High School, but if I receive the application, I will inform my superior officer.
