In Meherpur, the Public Administration Minister organized a programme to distribute warm clothes to the needy. These warm clothes were distributed in the premises of Government Girls High School in Meherpur town Monday.
Syeda Monalisa Islam, Vice President of Central Jubo Mahila League and wife of Public Administration Minister Farhad Hossain distributed the clothes. Farhad Hossain was present on the occasion as the chief guest on the occasion.
At this time, winter clothes were distributed among the lower class working people of the town. Warm clothes were handed over to three thousand poor people.
Syeda Monalisa Islam spoke at the event expressing her determination to stand by the common people. Meherpur Sadar Upazila Vice Chairman Latifunnesa, Jubo Mahila League Mujibnagar Branch President Taklima Khatun and Aminul Islam Khokon, general Secretory Barabazar Traders’ Association, were also present at this time.
Apart from Mahila Awami League, Jubo League and Chhatra League leaders were also present.
