Following the chess Olympiad, many players have returned home, but the emerging chess talents are set to compete in three more tournaments in Budapest, Hungary, aiming to enhance their skills and boost their ratings.

Wadifa Ahmed has already made a significant mark by securing the Women's International Master (IM) norm in the first tournament. As a Women's FIDE Master, Wadifa achieved the IM norm over nine games in the International Masters Chess A event. To officially become a Women's IM, she needs two more norms and a rating of 2200. For men, the requirement is a rating of 2400, despite having the same norms.

Wadifa's current rating stands at 1988, reflecting an increase of 130 points. Bangladesh's first female International Master was Rani Hamid, followed by Liza and Shireen. Now, Jannat and Noshin are also striving to achieve the IM title, with Wadifa joining their ranks.

In the tournament, Women's FIDE Master Wadifa Ahmed finished fourth with five points from nine games, alongside her IM norm. FIDE Master Manon Reza secured eighth place with four and a half points in the Grand Masters Chess B event. FIDE Master Tahsin Tazwar Zia finished sixth with four points in the Grand Masters Chess C event. International Master Mohammad Fahad Rahman scored three points in eight games in the Grand Masters Chess A event. In the Women's FIDE Master Under-2250 event, Women's Candidate Master Waliza Ahmed secured five points from nine games, finishing in sixth place.

In the final round, Women's FIDE Master Wadifa Ahmed defeated FIDE Master Basirov Kemal of Ukraine, FIDE Master Manon Reza Neer triumphed over Nemeth Jalan of Ireland, and Women's Candidate Master Waliza Ahmed bested Ramsdal Ress of Denmark. FIDE Master Tahsin Tazwar Zia drew with India's International Master Mayank Chakraborty. Unfortunately, International Master Fahad Rahman was unable to participate in the last round due to illness.
