Vitamin A capsule to be administered to Jhenaidah children

228,338 children in six upazilas of Jhenaidah are getting vitamin A capsule in the four-day campaign starts on June 12. The activities will be furnished through 1,762 temporary, eight permanent, 15 mobile and 86 additional vaccination camps where a total of 3,742 volunteers will participate in administering the capsules.

Civil Surgeon in Jhenaidah Dr Shubhra Rani Debnath in an orientation with the media professionals at her conference room on Wednesday noon said 29,510 children age between 6 months and eleven months will be administered blue colour vitamin A capsule, while 198.828 children age between 12 and 59 months will be administered red colour capsules on the day. The campaign will continue 8 am to 4pm without any interval. Jhenaidah press club president M Raihan, general secretary Mahmud Hasan Tipu among others present as special guests. Civil surgeon in her speech described the status of the Monkey Pox that was broken out in different countries and be aware about it so that the havoc could not affect the country like the global Covid-19. He urged upon the media activists to do their utmost support to aware the common people so that the vitamin A plus campaign might be success for a better world for our future citizens.
