Ishwardi Upazila Administration organized this bicycle distribution ceremony. According to the Upazila Administration Office, in the fiscal year 2020-21, in collaboration with the Ministry of Local Government, a bicycle was handed over to each of the 64 village police members in seven unions of the upazila on Monday.

Imrul Kayes said at the time that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of the present government was not only thinking about urban development and people's security, she was also thinking about improving the lot of people in remote rural areas.

To this end, village police have been provided bicycles to maintain law and order in the rural areas and to deliver services to the people quickly. Under the slogan 'Sheikh Hasina's philosophy, development of the people', a bicycle was given to each of the 64 village policemen working in seven unions of the upazila.
