A view exchange meeting on ensuring overall security, cleanliness and beautification of Dhaka University campus was held at Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate building on Monday.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman presided over the meeting.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Muhammad Samad, Treasurer Mumtaz Uddin Ahmed, Registrar Prabir Kumar Sarkar along with members of the Senate and Syndicate, Deans of different faculties, Deans of different halls, Proctors, and Directors of the Institutes were present at the meeting.
The meeting discussed and reviewed the aspects of overall security, cleanliness and beautification of the university campus. Special emphasis was given on keeping the campus safe and clean.
To this end, a decision was taken to form an environment club in each hall and department involving students, increase the number of proctorial patrol teams, make it compulsory for security personnel and cleaners to wear university approved uniforms and set up eco-friendly and eye-catching bins at various points.
