A view exchange meeting was arranged at DC Conference Room between traders of different sectors and representatives of several departments in Jhalokathi to control the price hike of essentials during Ramadan.
Director General of Jatiya Consumers Rights Protection Directorate Additional Secretary A H M Shafiullah was present as the chief guest. Among others, Deputy Director Farha Gul Nahar presided over the meeting. SP Md Afruzul Huq Tutul, Civil Surgeon Dr H M Jahirul Islam, journalists, businessmen and elite were present there.
Before that a meeting was also held at District Chamber of Commerce and Industry Conference Room between businessmen and share-holders to maintain the prices of rice, cooking oil and other essentials.
