Vegetable stable, pulses and chicken prices up

Prices of pulses, flour and chicken have gone up during the week. Green chilis are being sold at previous prices. 

On the other hand, prices of other products remained unchanged.

On Friday while visiting the capital’s different kitchen markets including Karwan Bazar, Rampura Bazar and Khilgaon, arrival of such vegetables was found with high price. 

Most of the vegetables in the markets are being sold at the previous prices. In these markets per kg brinjal is selling at Tk 60 per kg (kilogram), bitter gourd at Tk 60 per kg, tomato is at Tk 100 per kg, bean Tk 120 per kg and string bean at Tk 60 per kg. Pumpkin are currently being sold at Tk 40 per piece, depending on the size of the gourd at Tk 60, sweet pumpkin at Tk 40 per kg, sponge gourd at Tk 40, pointed gourd at Tk 40 and spiny gourd at Tk 40 to Tk 60.

Potatoes are being sold at Tk 20 per kg in these markets. Onion is being sold at Tk 40 per kg. 

Dried chilies are being sold at Tk 100 per kg. Papaya is being sold at Tk 40 per kg. 

Cucumbers are being sold at Tk 70 to Tk 80 per kg. 

Besides, dried chilies are being sold at Tk 150 to Tk 250 per kg, garlic at Tk 80 to Tk 130 per kg and  ginger at Tk 100 per kg. Turmeric is being sold at Tk 180 to Tk 220 per kg. The price of Indian pulses has increased by Tk 5 and is being sold at Tk 85 to Tk 90 per kg. 

Sugar is being sold at Tk 80 per kg. Besides, packets of sugar are being sold at Tk 85 per kg. The price of flour has increased in the market. Flour is being sold at Tk 33 to Tk 35 per kg. The price of flour has increased by Tk 3 to Tk 5 per kg. 

The price of chicken has increased by Tk 5 to Tk 10 per kg. Broiler chickens are being sold at Tk 140 to Tk 145 per kg in the markets. Sonali chicken is being sold at Tk 230 to Tk 240 per kg. The price of layer chicken has increased by Tk 10 per kg. It is being sold at Tk 230 to Tk 235 per kg.
