Varsity student’s body with uprooted eye recovered

Police recovered the body of a university student named Kamrul Islam 20, one day after his disappearance in Natore on Sunday night. The body was recovered from a bush of bamboo at village  Halsa in Sadar upazila. At the time of recovering, one eye of the victim was uprooted. The deceased was identified as Kamrul Islam, son of Afaz Uddin of Halsa village. He was a BBA last year student of Rajshahi Science and Technology (RSTU).

Natore Sadar Police Station  OC Faridul Islam said, somone summoned Kamrul Islam over a phone call around 9 pm on Saturday. After that, he did not return home. On Sunday evening, locals saw the body inside the bamboo bush.  Police later recovered the body and sent it to Natore Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Upon receiving the news, senior police officials rushed to the spot.

ASP of Natore Sadar Circle Abul Hasnat said the call list of the victim's mobile phone was being checked. They are investigating why the youth was killed. Earlier, police recovered the headless body of a 10-year-old disabled boy 6 days after the disappearance from a bamboo bush in Pikerdol area of Natore Sadar upazila on Saturday.
