Upazila health workers get PPE

Bochaganj Upazila Health Complex in Dinajpur was provided with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all the health workers of Community Clinic and Union Health and Family Welfare Center in Bochaganj upazila of Dinajpur on Wednesday.

Those Personal Protective Equipment were provided to all health workers of 21 community clinics and 5 union health and family welfare centers at Bochaganj Upazila Health Complex in Dinajpur under the joint initiative of KOICA-GNB CHDWU Project and Good Neighbors Bangladesh. 

At the time, 334 PPE, 130 box surgical masks, 66 box hand gloves, 310 hand sanitizers, 4 ceiling fans, 2 pulse oximeters and 2 thermometers for the corona unit were handed over to the Upazila Health and Family Planning Authority. 

Project Manager Mr. Cornelius Dalbat, Upazila Family Planning Officer Md. Zakir Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Bochaganj Police Station Md. Nabi Hossain, Residential Medical Officer Dr. Asaduzzaman and family plan ning department officials were present there.

Mr. Cornelius Dalbat said, we are working with the organization to provide safe health care to all the health workers in the field level community clinics and Union Health and Welfare Centers for the upcoming 2nd phase of Corona pandemic in the winter. He added that, similar health care equipment will be provided in Birganj upazila of Dinajpur as well.

It may be mentioned that GNB's KOICA-GNB CHW project with the joint financial support of Korea International Co-operation Agency (KOICA) has been working in Nafanagar Union No. 1 and Ishania Union No. 2 of Bochanganj upazila since 2019 for the development of maternal and child health.
