Due to ongoing rain and adverse weather, Md. Al-Amin, the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Jibannagar, has extended a helping hand to the area's struggling labourers, homeless, and impoverished families. He has been personally delivering dry food essentials such as rice, lentils, oil, salt, sugar, and spices to affected households on behalf of the upazila administration.

His compassionate initiative has been widely praised, especially as many daily wage earners like rickshaw pullers and van drivers have been left jobless and unable to provide food for their families due to the week-long rain. People have mostly remained indoors, worsening the plight of the poor.

On Monday afternoon, UNO Al-Amin visited several homes in the rain to distribute food. Recipients, including van driver Md. Raihan Uddin and widow Rahima Khatun, expressed deep gratitude for the timely support.

Residents like Amir Hossain of Laxmipur described the gesture as truly commendable, calling for such humane efforts to continue.

The UNO stated that the initiative would remain ongoing for the duration of the monsoon, urging local well-off individuals to step forward in solidarity with those in need.
