The Universal Pension Scheme Registration Booth has been inaugurated at the District E-Service Center of the Deputy Commissioner's office in Meherpur to facilitate the pension scheme services.
Meherpur Deputy Commissioner Md. Shamim Hasan inaugurated the registration booth on Wednesday.
He said the current government has created a unique example by launching the universal pension scheme to bring all the people under the pension benefits. The booth has been installed with the aim to launch the scheme easily and quickly.
The Meherpur district administration will directly provide various facilities to the people through this booth for the scheme, he added.
He also requested all government officials and employees to bring their families under this service.
The Deputy Commissioner further said, "Comparatively less response has been received from the people in Meherpur about the universal pension scheme. For this reason, various public awareness measures have been taken by the district administration to motivate the poor people of the district and bring them under the pension scheme. As a part of this, this registration booth was inaugurated today.”
Additional Superintendent of Police Kamrul Ahsan, Additional District Administrators, Senior Assistant Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners of District Administration and several government officers and employees of Meherpur were present in the inauguration ceremony.
