Awami Sechchhasebak League Central Committee Vice-President M Abdur Razzak said, “The sculpture of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was demolished by cowards at night. Those who misinterpret religion are misleading people and we have to stand up against them”.
He said this while exchanging views with Bogura district Swecchasebak League leaders and activists at the party office in Satmatha area of Bogura town on Wednesday night.
He also said, “The country is moving forward quickly under the dynamic rule of Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina. A group of people are spreading these misleading information with various tactics to hinder the development of the country”.
As part of that conspiracy, there is an attempt to destroy the peaceful environment of the country by spreading propaganda about sculpture. The conspiracy of this evil forces must be stopped, he added. He urged Swecchasebak League leaders and activists to form a united resistance against this conspiracy”.
Central leaders of Swecchasebak League Monwarul Islam Bipul, Mehedi Hasan Robin, Pabna unit GS Ruhul Amin, Bogura unit GS Zulfiqar Rahman Shanto and others spoke at the meeting presided by Bogura unit President Sajedur Rahman Sahin.
