Bangladesh U-19 team will play their second and last preparation match against Australia tomorrow before to start their World Cup campaign from January 20 with taking on the defending champions India.

Sri Lanka won the toss and after deciding to bat first in a bad weather condition scored 238 runs for nine wickets in stipulated 49 overs.

Bangladesh team chasing to 232 runs target could bat 36.2 overs when the rain stopped the game and Bangladesh at that situation scored only 119 runs for nine wickets and Sri Lanka won the match by 112 runs in DLS method.

Bangladesh bowlers, though did their job a bit well to book the opponents on 238 runs but the bowlers failed to prove their mettle when six batters could not reach in double digit and none of the batters could even score a 30-run innings.

The performers in the Asia Cup, Ashiqur Rahman Shibli could score only 11 runs when his opening partner Adil Bin Siddique scored 15 runs.

It was very much disappointing for the Tigers batters when only Jishan Alam looked impressive when middle order bats score the team highest 26 runs off 27 balls before being trapped by leg before.

However, it is not at all good sign for Young Tigers ahead of the their main assignment, as they will have to face a stiff hurdle to cross in their opening encounter when they will take on India, the five times winners of the competition.

Now they have a very good option to ascertain their strength when they play their second warm up match against one of the giants Australia.
