All the players of the U-19 Asia Cup team will receive Tk one lakh each from Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for winning the Asia Cup for the first time.
Young Tigers won over United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 195 runs at International Cricket Stadium, Dubai on December 17, 2023. Each member of the coaching staff will get bonus TK 50.
The U-19 team will go to South Africa for the World Cup on January 7. The mega event will inaugurate at Mangaung Oval, Bloemfontein, South Africa on January 19.
Ireland will take on the United States of America in the first outings. Bangladesh first match against five times Champions mighty India at the same venue on January 20.
As part of the preparation for the tournament, Bangladesh began their five-day-long training camp at Mirpur on Tuesday before they leave for Potchefstroom, South Africa, on January 7.
Upon their arrival in South Africa, the junior Tigers will hold a four-day camp before their warm-up match against Zimbabwe in Potchefstroom.
After that, they will move to Pretoria to feature in two official warm-up matches against Australia and Sri Lanka respectively.
Bangladesh team, who were drawn in Group A of the tournament, will face five times champions India in their opening match on January 20, followed by Ireland and the United States of America on January 22 and 24, respectively.
