The 39th founding anniversary of Ulipur Press Club was observed through different programmes.
The day’s programme began with the hoisting the national and the organisation’s flags. Then a colourful rally was taken out from the Club premises that paraded the main roads of the town.
The elite and members of the Press Club participated in the rally.
A discussion was arranged in the Hall Room of the Club marking the day. Sahidul Alam Bablu, Convener of the Foundation Anniversary Observance Committee presided over the there. Aminul Islam, joint convener conducted the meeting.
Among others, former president of Ulipur Press Club Abu Said Sarker, Vice- Chairman, Upazila Parishad, senior journalists Porimol Mojumder, Monjurul Hannan, Monaf Ali, Momtajul Karimee and Abul Malek spoke there.
A cake was cut to celebrate the founding anniversary.
