ULAB holds orientation ceremony for Fall 2020

The Department of English (DEH) and Humanities of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) organized a commencement ceremony for the Fall 2019 graduating students of the MA in English programme on Monday. The event took place at 5:30pm in the auditorium of Campus A of the university.

Professor Shamsad Mortuza, head of DEH and Pro-Vice Chancellor, ULAB, and Professor Kaiser Haq, dean of the School of Arts and Humanities, gave speeches to congratulate the students and to wish them well in their journey ahead. 

Students performed songs at the ceremony and a special play titled “Rosaline and Romeo” was performed by the students of the Play Writing course in the MA in Creative Writing programme. The play was based on Shakespeare’s famous Romeo and Juliet and scripted by Tanzim Aziz. The production was directed by Shamael Mortuza. Outgoing student, Asifa Sultana Atushi, gave a heartfelt speech about her journey at ULAB.

The commencement was attended by the graduating MA students, faculty members, other students, and Professor Imran Rahman, Special Advisor to the Board of Trustees.
