The Mars Rover team from United International University (UIU), Bangladesh, has brought international glory by securing 3rd place in the world and 1st in Asia at the Anatolian Rover Challenge (ARC) 2025 held in Ankara, Türkiye.

Organized by the Space Exploration Society (UKET), ARC is one of the world’s top robotics competitions, held from July 23 to 27. Competing against top universities, UIU stood out not only for their engineering skill but also for innovation and excellence.

The team also bagged the ‘Best Autonomous, Driving & Control System Team’ and ‘Best Science Team’ awards, further proving their technical brilliance and scientific prowess.

This marks the second time UIU achieved this global and regional ranking.

The ARC tasks simulate real extraterrestrial missions on the Moon, Mars, and Earth, making the event both challenging and immersive. UIU’s performance proves the rising potential of Bangladeshi students in space and robotics innovation.

This historic achievement places UIU among the top rover-building institutions worldwide.
