Uber-Patho, making millions of dollars in mobile apps with ideas from Chirirbandar Upazila in Dinajpur district. Since 2010, hundreds of young people have been transporting passengers from The Binakuri in Chirirbandar upazila to different places, like Uber-Patho in Dhaka.
But the funny thing is that people who are making money by providing motor cycling services don't know how uber-pathao mobile apps bring huge money. It is learnt that, hundreds of unemployed youth have created their own employment opportunities by transporting passengers on motorcycles in the Market of Binakuri in the 1st Chiribandar district of Dinajpur.
For the last ten years, the motorcycle driver put the passenger behind and drove it to the destination after fixing fares from passengers. Abdul Kuddus, a motorcyclist said, I have bought a motorcycle through installment while I couldn't find a job. After that, I repay my installment and run my family too.
Another motorcyclist Masud Rana said to get a job was very difficult for me. Later, I bought a motorcycle. Now, I am leading a very happy life with my family. A passenger who ply on this road regularly said motorcycle helps me to go a long distance within a short time though the roads are very narrow. Sometimes, motorcycle can be found in the midnight by calling them in the area.
Chirirbandar Upazila Chairman Tariqul Islam said I've heard the news. Many young people are living on motorcycle driving, which is very good news. Unemployment problem of that area has been reduced through motorcycle service. A motorcyclist earns nearly Tk1000 daily, which is enough to run a family.
