The Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW) at the University of Asia Pacific (UAP), in partnership with Shomvob Jobs, organized a day-long Career Fair on Wednesday at the UAP campus on Green Road, Dhaka.
The event brought together over 20 prominent national and multinational companies and approximately 2,000 graduates from various disciplines, creating a
platform for students and job seekers to explore career opportunities and interact with industry leaders.
UAP Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Qumrul Ahsan inaugurated the fair, emphasizing the importance of bridging the gap between academic learning and professional careers. He remarked, "This event provides students with a unique opportunity to connect with potential employers and explore diverse career paths."
The opening ceremony was also attended by Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Sultan Mahmud, Treasurer Prof Dr Sheikh Anwar Hossain, Director of DSW Dr ASM Mohsin, members of the Board of Trustees, faculty members, and corporate representatives.
The Career Fair served as a dynamic networking hub, allowing students to engage directly with employers, learn about job openings, and gain insights into various industries. Attendees also participated in workshops, one-on-one interviews, and company presentations throughout the day, making the event a comprehensive experience.
