Two youths stabbed by drunk juveniles

A group of juveniles allegedly stabbed two youths in drunken condition, centering to perform dance at a temple on the occasion of Sarasvati Puja at Dakkhin Para area in Savar, on the outskirts of the capital, on Thursday night. 

The victims were later taken to Enam Medical College Hospital in critical condition. “We already opened an investigation regarding the incident after hearing the news, though none of them lodge any complaint to us yet. Legal action will be taken if anybody files any written complaint”, AFM Sayeed, OC, Savar model police station said.

The injured were identified as Sumon Rajbangshi, 27, son of Bipod Rajbangshi, and Shimul Rajbangshi, 22, son of Sentu Rajbangshi, both were hailing from Maddha Para area in Savar.

Ananda Rajbangshi, elder brother of Sumon, the victim, alleged, a group of juveniles led by Mahbub and Alamin, attacked them around 11:00 pm at Dakkhin Para area on Thursday, and beat them up, centering to perform dance at a temple on the occasion of Sarasvati Puja. 

At a stage, the accused were stabbed Sumon and Simul and left them critically injured. Locals later come forward after hearing their screams and took them to Enam medical college hospital. “Sumon’s condition is too critical, and he is now in Critical Care Unit (CCU) of the hospital”, Ananda added.
