Police recovered the bodies of two youths from an office room at Paltan in the capital on Thursday night.
The deceased were identified as Imon, 23, and Farhad, hailed form Bhola district.
Paltan thana Sub-Inspector Ram Kanai Sarker said, “ Being informed, we went to the office of Matribhumi Group on the 6th floor of a building at Paltan area and found the door locked. After breaking the door of the office, we found the two young men unconscious. Later, when they were taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctor declared them dead around 10:30 pm’.
He also said that we recovered two bottles of alcohol as evidence. We suspected that they might have been died of excessive alcohol consumption. The reason of their death will be ascertained after getting the autopsy report.
Bappi Sardar, advisor of Matribhumi Group, said that both the deceased joined as office assistant at the office a month ago. As there was no trace of them since Wednesday afternoon, we broke the door with the help of police and found both of them lying unconscious.
Later, they were taken to DMCH where doctor declared them dead.
