A Khulna court has awarded death sentence to two people for killing a college teacher in Khulna. The verdict came after three years of the murder.
Saifuzzaman, Judge of Khulna Public Security Disruption Crime Suppression Tribunal, delivered the verdict on Thursday noon.
The convicts ar: Raju Munshi alias ‘Galkata Raju’ and Tuhin Gazi. Among them, Raju Munshi remains fugitive.
The court, however, acquitted eight other accused in the case as allegations brought against them could not be proved. According to the case statement, the convicts entered the house of Chittaranjan Bain, a lecturer of English department of Shaheed Sheikh Abul Kashem Memorial College, after cutting the grill of a window of his house for robbery on January 15 in 2017.
