Two teenage boys were killed in a motorcycle accident in Gopalganj's Muksudpur upazila on Wednesday.
The accident took place around 10 pm in Shantipur area on the Tekerhat-Gopalganj Highway.
The deceased were Hafizul Matubbar, 18, son of Omar Matubbar, hailed from of Dakshin Gangarampur village under the upazila, and rider Faizul Matubbar, 15, son of Mofazzel Matubbar, from the same area.
According to police and locals, the two teenagers went for a ride on the Tekerhat-Gopalganj highway on Wednesday night. They were going towards Tekerhat after visiting different places. On the way, the speeding motorcycle hit the back of a truck parked in the Shantipur area of the highway around 10 pm.
At that time, motorcycle rider Hafizul Matubbar and pillion Faizul Matubbar fell on the road. Later, locals rescued them and took to Rajair Upazila Health Complex where they declared dead by the on-duty doctor.
