A motorcycle rider and his co-rider were killed as a bus crushed their motorcycle in Charar Ghor area on the Bagerhat-Pirojpur Highway in Sadar upazila Sunday morning.
The deceased were identified as Mizan Jomadder and Rabbi Khan. They were theresidents of Sarankhola upazila of the district.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Katakhali Highway Thana Md Mizanur Rahman said the accident occurred when a speedy bus coming from the opposite direction hit
their motorcycle from behind around 9 am, leaving the duo dead on the spot.
They were heading towards Bagerhat riding the motorcycle. Police seized the bus, the OC added.
A case was filed with the concerned police station in this connection.
