Two more die of Covid-19, 41 infected in Bhola

Two more persons died of Covid-19 and 41 were diagnosed with the virus positive afresh in the last 24 hours till Friday morning in Bhola district. 

A total of 172 samples were tested at Bhola 250-bed General Hospital Covid-19 laboratory while 41 were found coronavirus positive during the time, Civil Surgeon Dr K M Shafiquzzaman told BSS on Friday afternoon.  Among the new infected patients, 27 are in Sadar upazila, one in Borhanuddin upazila, four in Lalmohan upazila, two in Daulatkhan upazila, one in Manpura upazila and six in Tajumuddin upazila, he said. 

Two persons died due to the deadly virus infection during the period, climbing the total death to 83 so far here, he said.  With the new positive cases, the total number of infected patients stood at 6,336. 

Forty eight patients however recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours in the district, raising the healing patients to 5,426, the civil surgeon said.  Forty five infected persons are now undergoing treatment at Bhola 250-bed General Hospital and the rest are taking treatment at home staying quarantine. The health official urged all to follow the health rules strictly and use masks to prevent the spread of the lethal virus. 

He urged everyone to be more aware of preventing this lethal virus.
