Two late strikes steer Kings to thrash Rahmatganj

Reigning champions Bashundhara Kings thrashed Rahmatganj MFS after coming from goal down in the Bashundhara Bangladesh Premier League football on Friday.

Held at the Kings Arena, holders Kings registered their sixth win out of seven match when suffered first defeat.

Rahmatganj MFS, who kept their unbeaten run before meeting the champions Bashundhara Kings, also threatened the favourites taking lead inside 10 minute.

Ernest Boateng led Rahmatgaj on 10th minute when King took 15 minutes to equalize the margin.

Rakib Hossain initiated the scoring for the Kings when he netted the equaliser on 15th minute but the holders had to wait to take lead for another 40 minutes when Miguel struck to make the tally 201 for Kings.

Dorielton and Robson Robinho socred one each in aspan of few seconds right on the dying minute of the game just to down Rahmatganj by 4-1.

In the day’s other match of the league, an eleventh hour strike from V Hryshyn steered Fortis FC to a 2-1 win over Bangladesh Police FC.  

After the goalless first half, Babour made the breakthrough for Fortis FC on 51st minute. Morillo levelled the margin for Police FC on 80th minute. 

When the match was heading to a 1-1 draw,  V Hryshyn stunned the Police men with striking on 90th minute to earn full three points for Fortis FC.
