Two killed in separate road crashes in Savar

Two people including a young lady were killed in separate road crashes on Dhaka-Aricha Highway at Hemayetpur area in Savar on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Razzak Hossen, 42, son of Akbar pramanik hailed from Charharina village of Sariyakanda Police Station under Bagura District and Nishat Parvin, 19, daughter of late Shiraz uddin of Tetuljhora union of Savar.

Muhammad Faruk Hossen, Sub-inspector of Savar Model police station said, A Nabinagar Bound Truck hit a passenger microbus from behind while the microbus was taking U-turn at Alamnagar housing area of Hemayetpur around 2am on Monday midnight. After hit, the passenger of microbus the young lady fell down on the highway and another Dhaka Bound track run over the lady, leaving her dead on the spot.

On other hand, a Dhaka bound passenger bus of ‘Moumita Paribahan’ ran over another person Razzak Hossain, leaving him dead on the spot, when he was trying to cross the road on Dhaka-Aricha Highway at Hemayetpur area around 10 am on Monday morning, added the police official.

After accidents Police visited those spots and recovered the bodies and sent to hospital morgue for autopsies.
