Two people were killed in separate road accidents at Jatrabari and Asad Gate area in the capital on Sunday.
A man was killed as multiple vehicles hit him on Hanif Flyover at Jatrabari in the capital.
Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Confirming the matter, Jatrabari thana Sub-Inspector Abdul Khaleque said that he was a mentally challenged man. He died as multiple vehicles ran him over on the flyover.
In another incident, a man was killed as a truck hit him near Asad gate under Sher-e-Bangla Nagar thana in the capital.
The deceased was identified as Shohrab, 50, a chotpoti vendor, hailed from Gaforgaon upazila of Mymensingh.
The incident took place at around 8:45 pm.
Locals rescued him and taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at around 10:15pm where doctor declared him dead.
DMCH police camp In-charge Mohammad Bachhcu Miah said the body was kept at the hospital morgue.
