Two people, including a college student, were killed and five others injured in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a CNG run auto-rickshaw in Atukura area under Baniachang upazila of the district on Tuesday night, reports BSS.
The deceased were identified as Mukles Miah, son of Abdul Jabbar of Puranbagh village and Shakil Ahmed, son of Afroz Miah. Shakil Ahmed was a student of Brindaban Government College in Habiganj.
Rashed Mubarak, OC of Baniachang Police Station, said the accident occurred in the area around 9:30pm when a motorbike hit an auto-rickshaw coming from opposite direction, leaving seven people injured.
