Savar thana police arrested two imposters claiming themselves as DB policemen from Kaliakoir village under Birulia union of Savar on Friday evening.
Arrested imposters were identified as Masud Rana son of late Ishaque Ali of Batikamara village under Kumarkhali police station of Kushtia district and Razzak Mridha son of late Abdul Kader Mridha of village Patiya under Golachipa police station under Patuakhali district, informed Apurba Dutta, Incharge of Birulia Police station.
Police informed, those arrested people frequently visited Birulia in Savar. Suspecting their activities, one Siram of the locality asked about their identities when they claimed themselves as the members of DB police and informed they came to Savar for conducting a special operation. Siram informed about them to the police of Birulia police outstation when police arrived at the scene and arrested them.
The blazer that arrested Masud Rana wearing contains a monogram of DMP and a monogram of Mujib Birth Centenary.
Inspector of Birulia Police station informed case has been filed against the arrested imposters. They will be sent to the court on Saturday.
