Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-1 seized a pick-up van and detained two people, including a drug trader, with 585 bottle of Phensidyl at Baipail area of Ashulia in Savar on Sunday.
The detainees are Harun-Ur-Rashid 40, son of Jillur Rahman, hailed from Namaltola area in Shibganj Police Station of Chapainababganj and the pick-up van driver Motaleb Hosen, son of Abdul Jalil Khandakar, hailed from Natore district.
Muhammad Nazim Uddin Khan, inspector of RAB-1, said that on secret information, a team of RAB-1 conducted a drive at the area and seized the pick-up van on Sunday morning. After searching, they found 585 bottle of phensedyl inside the vehicle and detained the drug trader Harun-Ur-Rashid and the trucker.
A case was filed with Ashulia Police Station in this connection.
