Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two youths with counterfeit notes worth Taka 1.66 lakh from the city last night, according to a RAB-6 press release on Sunday.
The arrested were identified as Md Rubel Biswas and Akash Biswas, residents of Abhaynagar upazila in Jashore district.
A case was filed with Khulna Sadar Police Station in this connection.
On a tip-off, a team of RAB-6 conducted a drive in Shaheed Hadis Park area of the city and arrested Rubel and Akash while they were waiting for their clients, the release said.
RAB also seized fake notes worth Taka 1.66 lakh and four mobile phones with five SIMs from their possession. They were involved in fake note exchange business for a long time.
