A court in Narayanganj convicted two accused for life term rigorous imprisonment in a murder case of Rupganj police station in the district on Tuesday.
The district and session judge Mohammad Assams Joglul Hossain handed down the judgment in the crowded courtroom.
Convicted accused are Rubel Hossain,30, son of Nuru Mia and Kamruzzaman alias Kamu,36, son of Alauddin, resident of Gondhobpur village under Rupganj police station in Narayanganj.
According to the case story, criminals killed an old woman Nur Banu,60, on the basis of a land dispute on June 30, 2019. Deceased son Elias Mia filed a murder case with Rupganj police station that was investigated by the police bureau.
The court examined nineteen witnesses in the case and pronounced the conviction, public prosecutor Moniruzzaman Bulbul confirmed.
