The Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection has fined 2 diagnostic centers in Katiadi of Kishoreganj for mismanagement. Renesa Diagnostic Center and Hospital was fined Tk 30,000 and Model Health Center was fined Tk 30,000 in an operation conducted by Kishoreganj District Consumer Rights Protection Directorate on Thursday.
According to the sources, Renesa Diagnostic Center and Hospital were charged more than the prescribed fee due to the allegations that it was not possible to take proper action in any accident due to mismanagement of the hospital and lack of fire service license.
Fro that Renesa Diagonstic Center and Hospital was fined Tk. 30,000.
Tk. 250 in serum bilirubin price list at Model Health Center located in hospital road. But they kept 300 taka from the patient.
Model Diagnostic Center was fined Tk 30,000 for conducting overpriced tests.
At that time, the director of consumer protection department asked the patient to return three hundred taka and it was immediately returned to the patient.
The campaign was led by Assistant Director of Kishoreganj District Consumer Protection Directorate Hridoy Ranjan Bonik. Katiadi Upazila Sanitary Inspector Didarul Alam Russell was also present.
