DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr Mamun Ahmed inaugurated the festival as the chief guest.

Speaking at the event, Prof Mamun said the world is moving fast with the advancement of technology, and there is no scope to lag behind. He urged students to take part in creative and innovative work that can bring positive change to society while keeping humanitarian values in mind.

The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Dr Sejuti Rahman, Chairman of the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering. Professor Dr Upama Kabir, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, attended as the special guest.

According to the organisers, a total of 900 students divided into 200 groups from 50 educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and universities, are taking part in the festival. They are showcasing various robotics projects they have developed.

The organisers said the festival aims to give young people an opportunity to explore robotics and mechatronics beyond classroom learning. They believe such events will help build skilled manpower in the field of modern technology, which is essential for the country’s future progress.

The two-day festival will include project exhibitions, interactive sessions, and discussions on robotics innovation, allowing participants to share ideas and learn from each other.
